Yes, it is that easy.  This shovel has cut our time in half.  For obvious reasons, it is most effective when pushing 1" to 3" of snow.  It's definitely a little more difficult with 4" to 6", but it can be done.  Also, you still need a traditional shovel to clean off steps.
