Kingdom Landscaping on Twitter

twitter follow logoTwitter?  Yes, Twitter.

Why?  Well, because I don't want to be left behind during this computer-information/social-media age.

One thing for sure is this, I have never been afraid of new technology.  As a matter of fact, way back in 1981/82 (somewhere in there), I worked for TAB BOOKS INC. in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania.   TAB was considered to be on the cutting-edge of new technologies, because they were a book publisher that specialized in Computer, Electronics, Aviation, and How-To books.  So, believe-it-or-not, I started very early on with computers and programming.

The first computers I used included:  The TRS-80, Commodore 64, and the Apple II.  Then I graduated to an IBM PC (back before DELL became a household name).  This was before Bill Gates even thought about Microsoft Windows.  As a matter of fact, I took a Microcomputer Fundamentals class at HJC (now HCC - Hagerstown Community College), and actually learned how to write very simple computer programs.  At that point in time, everything was done at the "dot" prompt.  The main computer software programs were dBASE (II and III) for spreadsheets and WordStar or WordPerfect for word processing.  Does anyone else out there remember those days?

So, why am I giving you this history lesson?  I think it's to convince myself that I can conquer social media marketing.

One thing that I have learned is that social media marketing is a full-time job in itself.  As the President/Partner of Kingdom Landscaping, I'm already filling a lot of different shoes in various departments:  Receptionist, Accountant, Sales, Estimator, Designer, Office Manager/Administrator, Web Master, Laborer, etc.  I think you get the picture.  It would not be hard for me to spend my entire day tweeting, Facebooking, Google+-ing, Houzz-ing, Instagram-ing...and more...and never get anything else accomplished.  One thing I've learned in business is that in order to be successful, you need to surround yourself with successful people who can help you accomplish your goals in life.

MoriahLet me introduce you to my 17-year old daughter, Moriah Tyler.   Moriah is part of this generation that was born texting, emailing, skyping, and uploading.   She will be overseeing our social media networking and marketing.  Moriah will be the one tweeting on twitter (who came up with these names??? tweeting on twitter).

So, please take a moment to "Follow Us" on twitter.  You either have to have an existing twitter account (which, if you do, you know more about this than me...lol) or you can sign up for an account.

The twitter name is KngdomLandscape.  Yes, the "i" is missing from Kingdom on purpose, because the name was too long.  You can find us at www.twitter.com/KngdomLandscape.  (Just "click" on the highlighted link, and you can get signed up.)  It's easy!

Thanks!twitter bird
