Kingdom Landscaping Attends MANTS 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland
What in the world is MANTS? Good question.
MANTS = Mid-Atlantic Nursery Trade Show
It is the largest trade show of its kind on the East Coast and widely known as, "The Masterpiece of Trade Shows™." MANTS was established in 1970 by the Maryland and Virginia Nurserymen’s Associations, and in 1972, the West Virginia Nurserymen’s Association joined them as a third partner. Since 1981, this show has been held at the Baltimore Convention Center.
The exhibit space covers approximately 300,000 square feet with close to 1,000 different exhibiting companies. The exhibits cater exclusively to the landscape industry and include a wide range of products…
- Plant Nurseries
- Tree Farms
- Stone Dealers
- Hardscape Manufacturers
- Christmas Tree Growers
- Statuary Dealers
- Software Companies
- Advertising & Marketing Companies
- Heavy Equipment Dealers
- Pottery Companies
- Mulch and Compost Dealers
- Tool Companies
- Grass Seed & Fertilizers
- Pots and Containers
- Decorative Outdoor Art
- Retailer Equipment
- Outdoor Grills and Appliances
- Water Gardening Products
It’s a huge candy shop for contractors. The choices are endless.
So, why does Kingdom Landscaping make it a point to attend this show?
Ideas, Ideas, Ideas
It gets our creative juices flowing! We like to browse through the displays and see what’s new. Here are a few things that caught our eyes this year.
Another reason our team travels to MANTS is to say hello to the vendors we deal with throughout the year. Here are a few pics:
Probably the most productive part of our visit was our time spent at the EP Henry booth. After chatting with the EP Henry staff for several minutes, they asked us if they could videotape a segment with Matt and I sharing our thoughts on their new Cast Stone Wall block (which we absolutely love!). They feel that they got some useful footage, so hopefully in the near future, we will be able to post a video clip of that segment.
Our trip wouldn’t have been complete without a walk down to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on this 70 degree day in January!!!
And, of course, lunch at Bubba Gump's!
